Four shapes of shower rooms

An independent shower space is what many families want nowadays. Shower rooms are a good choice to achieve true dry and wet separation. Make full use of a corner of the room and use fences to clearly divide the shower area to form a relatively independent bathing space. Today, let's learn how to choose a shower room that suits your home from the perspective of shower room type and shape!

I. How to choose a suitable shower room

1. Two types of shower rooms

(1) Framed

Framed shower rooms use "aluminum alloy or plastic profiles + tempered glass + accessories" and are track-based sliding shower rooms. The aluminum frame supports the entire frame, and the fixed glass is more stable. Therefore, it is necessary to pay attention to the quality of the ball bearings, whether the movable door is light and convenient to open and close, and carefully check the sealing of the waterproof strips, the excellent connection between the hardware and the glass, etc.

(2) Frameless

Frameless shower rooms have been a popular choice in recent years. They use hardware accessories to connect the glass, and waterproof strips are used to waterproof the glass. If the space is small, you can also choose a sliding rail or hinged shower room with a flat door.

2. Four shapes of shower rooms

There are four types of shower rooms on the market: square, straight, diamond-cut, and arc. The advantages and disadvantages of each are listed for your reference:

If your bathroom is large enough and you like a shower room with a large area and easy maintenance, you can choose a square shape, which also meets the space requirement of 900*900mm. Applicable space: bathrooms with larger areas. Common specifications: 800*1000㎜, 900*1000㎜, 1000*1000㎜.

(2) Straight

The shower area of most families is located deep in the bathroom, occupying the entire wall. A straight shower room can just separate the dry and wet areas into two halves. No chassis is required, just add a water retaining bar. It is affordable and highly economical. According to the door opening and closing method, it is divided into push-pull type and flat opening type. The one-line shower room cannot be pushed and pulled vigorously to prevent damage. Applicable space: narrow and long bathroom. Glass partition is a minimalist version of the one-line shower room. It has a certain dry and wet separation function and is much cheaper.

(3) Diamond type

Some bathrooms have limited area. The square right angle may be close to the toilet, which is relatively cramped. Cutting off the right angle to make a diamond shape can make full use of the wall corner and leave a passage in the external area. The area utilization rate is high and space is effectively saved. The external passage of the shower room is also much wider and there is space for opening the door. Applicable space: small bathroom. Common specifications: 900*900㎜, 900*1200㎜, 1000*1000㎜, 1200*1200㎜.

(4) Arc shape

The size of arc-shaped shower room brands is generally fixed, and it is not suitable for non-standard products. It needs to be equipped with a suitable chassis, with soft lines and unique models to look good, but it is also more expensive. In addition, the arc shape is more suitable for families with elderly people, as it will not be bumped and is safer. Common specifications: 850mm*850mm is the reasonable minimum size. In extreme cases, it should not be less than 800mm*800mm, otherwise it will affect the shower experience.
